Proceedings on Propellants, Explosives and Pyrotechnics
Cultural Background: China is the motherland of black powder which remained the only explosive for military and civil purpose for many centuries. The important role black powder played in the civilization is universally acknowledged. Primitive powder compositions and the description of their deflagrating capabilities can be found in the writings of the Chinese alchemists dating back to the eighth century. By the time of mid-thirteenth century, well-developed gun powder technology had offered both explosives of high brisance and quality propellants. In the 21 century, there are rapid progress concerning with the R&D in the field of propellants, explosives and pyrotechnics as well as new energetic materials in the world. These proceedings listed below are the achievements of several international seminars held in recent years in China. You are welcome to make contact with Dr. LI Shengcai for ordering the proceedings.
